Cherie is an intuitive Life Coach, works with individuals, groups and corporations who know there is more to life than what they are currently experiencing and supports their shifts to living a life filled with joy, meaningful relationships, purpose, and ease. Cherie uses success strategies from coaching, creativity and spiritual practices to empower people to create a remarkably abundant life for themselves.

Cherie has studied with many teachers world-wide. Most recently she has studied extensively with Lorraine Weiss of New Mexico, Michele Cassou of California, and Alan Cohen of Hawaii. She completed Life Coach Certification, Life Mastery, Top Priority Manifestation, and How Good Can it Get? Abundance & Prosperity Programs through Alan Cohen.

In her workshops, she mentors her students to trust the benevolent teachings of creativity while creating a safe environment for the creative process to be explored and experienced.

Saturday, February 11th, 3-6pm

Have you ever wanted to write a song? Is there a tune in your head you just can’t get out? Do you want to know what it’s like to work with other people to create music? Bring an instrument, your voice, or just yourself, and we will explore the songwriting process together. No music experience needed, but if you have it, you’re welcome, too.

Michelle Cowan, an experienced songwriter (www.michellecowanonline.com), will facilitate the group as we develop ideas, melodies, harmonies, and accompaniment. We will work together and, as our song progresses, discuss our feelings, what we think about how the song is shaping up, and how the song relates to our personal inner work.

This is a relational workshop. We will have time to journal and meditate individually, but we will be also be engaged in conversations about how we are working together.

The product is not necessarily a complete song. We may create a number of songs or only finish half of one. This workshop focuses on the healing and expression that accompanies the writing of a song. Songs are rarely ever complete and continue to evolve each time someone performs them. Learn what expressing yourself through song is all about. We are excited to share the process with you.

A keyboard and guitar will be available. Feel free to bring any additional instruments.

This is a small intimate group. Class size is limited to 12 people.

A pianist and vocalist since age seven, Michelle Cowan has been performing her original music for voice, piano, and guitar for nine years. Described as a blend of Sarah McLachlan, Ani DiFranco, and Janis Joplin, Michelle is constantly striving to spark creativity and conversation. When not playing or recording music, she works as a writer and editor in Houston, Texas.

Denise Levertov said, "What would happen if one woman told the truth about her life? The world would split open." There comes a time in a woman's life when her soul calls to be nourished. Join us in this spirit-based exploration of writing and visual art. This workshop is a safe place for women to explore how writing and art stimulate the creative process. Writing exercises are designed so that each woman has the opportunity to express what calls to her. Each woman can also choose from a toy chest of paints, hand-made paper, and embellishments to go deeper into the intuitive process. This time spent in the studio with others is a place to tell the truth, dream, experiment, and play.

Allow yourself to be guided toward finding and embracing your authentic voice. From this space, magic happens. Give yourself the experience of getting in touch with your innate creativity!

Our goal is to establish a group who gather monthly to expand and share the strength of this transformative process.

Maryann Gremillion and Cherie Ray will facilitate the workshop.

Maryann is a writer and visual artist. She leads writing groups and workshops for women, and is working on a collection of prose poems and personal essays. Her writing journal is the source of her ideas for this work. She is collaborating with a group of other artists in a year-long collage project, and her work has appeared recently in local studios and galleries. Maryann also taught elementary school for fifteen years. She studied the teaching of writing at Columbia University's Reading and Writing Project.

Cherie is a Spirit-based Life Coach who works with individuals, groups and corporations to discover their purpose, realize their passion, and experience freedom. She mentors her clients to trust the benevolent teachings of creativity while creating a safe environment for spirituality to be explored and consciousness to be expanded.

The Jung Center of Houston - Saturday, March 17, 2012

Spring is a time of new beginnings. We start with meditation at the Rothko Chapel, continue by walking a nearby outdoor labyrinth to experience a life-size mandala. Then, we caravan to the Jung Center to make mandalas using collage. No previous meditation or artistic experience is necessary. | Although all materials are provided, participants may choose to bring journals and images to include in their collage. We encourage only necessary talk and will have periods of silence.
This is a comment- and critique-free creative exploration. Our intention is to foster inner connection and renewal to carry with you when you re-enter your world.
Time is allotted for sharing.
Please bring lunch; snacks, tea, and coffee are provided.

Does your creativity need a tune-up? Using body-centered toning and intuitive painting, sound and color open the door to your creativity and intuition. Paint as freely as a child, without being judged or graded, without inhibitions about your skill, for pure enjoyment. Paint from your inspired, felt sense, not your head. No previous art or toning experience is necessary. This workshop is based on the concept of expanding your creative process with no concerns for product. Tuesday Afternoon, January 1st, 1-4pm

What is your Intuition guiding you towards? The Real YOU. Meet, greet and strengthen your listening skills to your Intuition through creating Your Visionary Vision Board and Intuitive Painting.

Intuitive Painting begins your journey to connecting with your authentic self. You'll end your journey by watching your vision board come to life.

In this workshop you will use the elements of collage to set your intentions in motion. Vision Boards have a magical way of bringing the "unknown into the known." There is "new" waiting on an invitation from you to present itself. Be specific or let the Universe handle the details. Begin the new year with intention!

You will leave with a renewed connection to your authentic self and a totem that will keep this awareness thriving through 2010. As the year unfolds you will be surprised by the crystal ball effects your board presents!
